Got rid of my 1987 Dodge w150 cash for clunkers
That sends a chill down my spine, grew up in WI and left in 91 to sunny CA. I saw enough rusty cars and like Mikey, I've owned over 400 cars and now I see rust and run (unless it's super rare).
This is the undeside of my 74 Duster, I was working under her the other day and i rubbed a bunch of the surface rust off with my hand. Note the original exhaust system still under a 74. Gotta love the dry climate for that. It costs me a small fortune to have green grass but my car is clean. :-D
I had a couple (rusty) Subaru's back in the day and they had indistructable engines, enjoy the car caveman.
