i used to have a pair and they came off of a 72 charger i found a center cap at a swap meet and the guy just gave it to me cause they are way ugly he was surprised i wanted it i think they are called road magnums

hope that helps

If they are 15" X 7" they were factory equipped on Ford's in the early '70's. They are Magnum 500's and are reproduced on the aftermarket. If they are factory they would have the "Ford" stamping on the inside of the rim. The center caps are readily available for the Mopar Road Wheels and will fit these rims. Places like Year One has them.

Just wondering here or maybe wandering :happy10:.....what caps are you referring to for the road wheels? Are they different from the Magnums.... Or are you saying these are Ford wheels pictured.....

Just some misc info: All of the wheels (Mopar & Ford) were made by the Magnum Wheel Co/Corp. Mopar Magnums without trim rings were 500s. Ones with trim rings were considered Road Wheels. One difference in the Ford Magnums besides the slightly raised area around the stud holes was a smaller ID for the hub.

Chrome around the outside are Ford, Mopar used a trim ring. Wheels made by same manufacturer so caps are the same and bullseye is a decal, Someone makes a penstar decal to put there. They only came in two sizes for Mopar from the factory if I recall, 14 X 5 1/2 for 1968-74 B & E exc. 68-69 B- body Hemi and the 14 X 6 for some 1972-74 B & E-body). They were actually called a chrome road wheel for Mopar and Ford used the term magnum 500 but you can call the either. AMC used the Ford wheels for a few years too.

GTX is right but the all chrome wheel was 68 only.

Thx GTX and 69Dart...clears it up a bit for me...

Still kind of  .......

Those wheels were highly sought after a while back. Very nice looking wheel when they are all cleaned up. I had a set of 14x5.5" on the front of my 68 roadrunner and had the rears widened to 14x8. They looked great widened, but the trim ring looked a little weird. I don't know if I have any pics of them left.

Magnum Rims. A buddy of mine had a 67 GTX with factory Magnums, Chrome, NO TRIM RING.
I had a 68 GTX with factory Magnums, again, Chrome, no trim rings.
They are highly regarded by old school enthusiasts like myself....on the right car.
