ok heres the deal I ordered a socket from Northern tool that was suppose to be for a chrysler product. they listed 2 and I got one in the other backordered. the one I got is to big it is the 1-59/64 which I thought was for the small ball joint. the other socket listed is over 2". Is there a 3rd socket that is smaller and if so what size.

I would just use a pipe wrench or a big crescent wrench

i bought a cheap 1 3/4 chinese wrench from harbor freight and took a grinding wheel to it.cost like 5 bucks

I thought it was small a body, medium late a-b body-, large c body- truck or is there a 4th for trucks?.

At least I thought it was?

I've spot welded pipe to them before with spray water bottle on hand and pipe wrenched them too.

All good ideas.

There are three and possibly four sizes for ball joint sockets . I have four of them and will measure tomorrow . They are worth the price , I have Snap-on ,, Proto ,, and Bonnie ... All of these are 3/4" : drive . It wouldn't hurt to squirt P B Blaster on the ball joints every day for a week prior . You will most likely need a piece of pipe to slip over the breaker bar handle . good luck with it .
