Question about 69 Dart seats/headrests

Can someone tell me what the deal is regarding 69 Dart bucket seats and what type of headrests came on them? I am looking for a set of bucket seats for my 69 Dart that have headrests and have seen them with both the oval-shaped headrests with the chrome band around them as well as the solid vinyl ones (no chrome band) that kind of curve down over the top of the seatback. Which is correct or could they have come either way? Also, can headrests be added to bucket seats that don't have headrests, that is are the components inside the seat that the headrests slide into present inside seats that didn't come with headrests? On a side note, I have a 69 bench seat and it has the type of headrests that curve down over the seat back.

As far as I know the headrests with the chrome strips are the only correct ones for 69 buckets. My understanding after research is the car actually built in 69 have headrests & the 69 cars built in late 68 did not. As far as adding headrests, the frames have the holes in them but you will need to install all the hardware & headrests. everything you need to add headrests including the headrests is available from the repop companies, just depends on how much you are willing to spend.
