Fuel Gauge Telling Lies!

If the limiter is the fault the temp gauge would be wrong also.
Oil gauge too if it has one. Amp gauge is a seperate circuit.

Problem might be the sender or just its ground strap.
Could be the gauge is loose at the printed circuit board connections.
More detailed symptoms might help develop a plan of attack.

I can sit in the drivers seat and remove the instrument panel much easier than I can jack the car up and crawl in and out from under, but thats just me.
We will fit it one way or the other.
