If you have 8 3/4 you must pull the spacer pin from the center section.If you didn't do it take it apart right now and do it.Take it from a guy who is on his third set of brgs.

Just take the spacer out they will work fine. I put a small tack on the retainer ring on mine that way yo dont have to worry about them slipping
