help identify this 8.75

I just bought a 8.75 rear end complete from a local salvage yard. Got a killer deal I couldnt resist even though its not for my exact application.

Heres the deal:

has bolt on axles with wheel studs attached to the drum instead of the axles

the numbers Cast into the 3rd member are

2070741 (I am assuming that it is a 741 case?)
296

from the inside to inside of the spring perches it measures 41.5 inches

from wheel mounting surface to surface is 58.5 inches

aprox 53 inches from axle flange to flange? hard to measure so not sure if that is exact.

has 4.5 inch bolt pattern

My guess would have to be early 60's B-Body?

Also can I build this rear end for my A-body? meaning can I get differnet brakes and axles so that the wheel studs are attached to the axle instead of the drum? have the axle housing shortened and is the 3rd member a good casting? Can I use a clutch type sure grip instead of a cone type (assuming that this is an early 60s rear)
