Converter Ballooning????

Never really got it.

I do now, check out the bolt head indents. BTW, it didn't hit me until I ordered a converter with a billet anti-balloon front plate.

The bolt head indents are from the 400 "B" that the converter spent some time on. (6 bolts)

The gouges on the outer radius are from the low-profile flexplate bolts on the hemi. (8 bolts).

Never mind, when the converter shows up, it and the new tranny are getting shoved in, I'm not worrying about the thrust bearing until I drag this sorry piece of crap to Monster Mopar in STL.
