Post/debate your stroker small block builds here

The factory blocks have thier limits. But, with careful parts choosing, machining, and assembly, the blocks will live at 550 all day long, and around 600 for a while with nothing more than steel caps, main studs, and lighter rods and pistons. But, if someone is planning for a true 600hp, AND CAN AFFORD TO BUILD ONE THAT MAKES THAT POWER, then they should get a new stronger block. For most people, 600hp is a magazine level they want to reach. not a realistic goal for what they can spend.

EDIT: I should add that with the price of the caps, studs, and lifter bore bushings, plus the competition level machining required... you are within about $1000 of a much better block. When the buget is $10K, $1000 more for strength and reliability is nothing.
