Few tech questions about my Duster

Okay, I have a few things I would like help on.

#1, What should I use on the floor to paint on to make it so it will not rust? POR-15?

#2, I had water leaking in on to the carpet, it caused a little rust issue that I would like to take care of, where are the most common places for water to leak in on the front floor?

#3, Who makes a decent set of rear disk brakes for a large bolt 8 3/4? I don't have a ton to spend and have been thinking about pulling a set off of a ford exploder. I can get the whole set for around $50 that way. Whats the best way to go?

#4, Are rear sway bars really worth it? I think i already know the answer, but other opinions are welcome.

#5, What is the best value Electric fan? I would like to run an electric so that it has a built in fan shroud and it helps with power a little bit.

#6, Should I run the carter Thermaquad or a Holley?

#7, Why are these damn cars so addicting?????

Thanks, Jeremy

Hey c-stripes, Ill toss my 2 cents in here..... #1, I compleatly wire wheelsed my entire floor and I then primed the hole thing and I then painted it with vlack automotive paint, the underside will be wire wheeled ,primed and then undercoated.

#2, I have the same problem in my duster but am yet to find from where??? same boat lol.....during rain while sitting in my drive way I have a puddle on the passenger pan and on the drivers pan....but I cant see from where, appears to be from under the dash ...dripping down the firewall maybe?. (this is why I did my floor boards lol...carpet got soaked and previous owner never pulled the carpet and fixed the problem so it just kept the metal wet.

#3, I have no idea lol but I did the ford explorer swap on a ranger i built awhile back....I put a 289 hypo v8 ford engine in it with a c4 tranny and 4x4 set up...lifted up on 35 inch tires with a 10 inch lift...cool little truck.

#4,I agree with what was mention about highway driving.

#5, In my area we have an advanced auto parts parts store....they carry pretty nice e-fan set up and for a good price and you can also get the thermostatic probe fan switch from the same place and it is tuneable so you can dial it in to go on and off at whatever temperature you would like.....the hole get up,fan and thermostat and all would probably run you $70-$80 through them.

#6,depends on what your looking to get out of it....you can go edelbrock if your would like an extreamly simple to tune carb that is pretty food on gas with decent performance....go holley if you dont mind using a little more gas but with a little more power and with a more technical tuning set up......however,if you do go holley , I HIGHLY recommend getting a holley 670 cfm street avenger....I have bought two of them and I absoloutley love them. great all around performance,no flat spots or hesitations, not bad on the gas....good enough to run various engine sizes with different mods. ....or ,if it is of any interest to you... I have a holley 750cfm double pumper that was rebuilt not long back and I have the dual feed chrome lines for it also!....I could work with you on the price a bit if your interested.

#7, I have no idea...often find myself wondering the same thing lol.....but its not a bad thing lol
