I wanna drag race----help

The picture on the bottom shows the pickup rotated too far and away from the bottom of the pan, I've corrected it now. I wanted to drop the engine and tranny in today to measure the driveshaft length but a motor mount bracket I got from a local oldies wrecker was the wrong side so more time waiting for the correct one to arrive. I had a customer come into the shop today who saw the Duster who turns out to be a Mopar guy. He has a 69 Cuda Mod top and an 09 challenger SRT8 with a blower kit. Kev

Well the dream died today. I was trying to get this car running to race it at the last race of the season Oct 3-4. I found out today as a result of some transmission fittment issues that the 4spd that came with the car is an OD trans: not one to use in a drag race car! So I'll have to decide whether to keep it as a 4spd and find a good trans this winter or convert the car back to an auto which it originally came with. Oh well live and learn, now I have more time to do things right, but winter will feel longer this year waiting for opening day at the track.:angry7:

Anyone know what a 1976 4spd OD trans is worth? I know where there's one for sale! Kev
