1974 Dart Swinger

This afternoon, a little more elbow grease went into the car but this time it was the trunk that got the attention. We wanted it to look half decent for this weekends car show. Fort Hood had a early release today so I went home and worked on the trunk while my son was in class and had football practice. He got home right as I spilled some car wax on the carpet I was laying in the trunk. I let loose with quite a few explatives but Jeffrey quickly used water and a towel and cleaned it up before it set in and dried. We took the best jack parts from the 2 cars and waxed them up and painted a few pieces. The carpet had been in the 4-door when we bought it. We placed the 4-doors spare tire down in the bottom of the trunk and placed the 2-doors original Goodyear Polyglass up top. I climbed inside the trunk and wiped everything down first before useing Kit Polish and Wax on the wheel tubs and visible floor areas. I also waxed the the entire underside of the trunk lid and the rain water drain around the trunk opening. The final picture is of the 4-doors trunk.
We'll be sure to get some good pictures at Saturdays car show. I am expecting some of my fellow soldiers to be coming to check out the car as well.
