700R4 GM in a Swinger?

When you rebuild the motor do we all go getting Mopar pistons-bearings or some other brand which might even be "better". Same with cams, lifters even gaskets.

Brakes, do we all go running out to the Mopar dealer for pads, rotors and calipers.

Wheels----well see were I am going / if a part works better than something that was design 40+ years ago why not use it?

Keeping it "stock" might be best resale value but for driving enjoyment it isn't.

Its too bad there isn't a good aftermarket auto trans, like the market is for manual trans were you have a pick of gear ratios and the unit is built to handle power right from the start. I could careless what name is put on the part (but keep the China junk back in China)
