I like that placement of the Tach under the second screw of the instrument cluster. I think we may try that. Our under dash mount was temporary for now anyways. We just wanted to see what RPM it was idleing at while we attempted to tune the car.
Another place I really like is the A pillar. Simply remove one of the screws holding the trim on. Put a piece of two sided tape on the bottom of the tachs mount,and use the trim screw to mount it to the pillar. Mount your tach to the base. Lots of clearance and I was able to angle the tach perfectly towards myself. A slight glance was all that was needed to see the tach clearly.
