Sonic check LA area

Does anyone know where I can get my block sonic checked in the Los Angeles area?Guzzi Mark
 
Yes sonic checked,I want to bore my block .104 over,I have been told to get block sonic checked first,from what I know its kinda like a x ray that checks block for uniform thickness thru out.Ireally cant explain it better because I dont fully understand,But have told by SEVERAL people in the know to have it sonic checked.I try to listen and obey.Hopefully someone will chime in and really explain it.Guzzi Mark
 
lol... Not an X ray. It uses a very high pitch sound wave. Think closer to sonar for metals. You place hte transducer on a part, and the unit bounces sound waves thru it. Then it interprets the retuning sound wave and tells you how thick that spot is. So you can test the inside of the cylinder and it will tell you exactly how thick that cylinder wall is.
 
You are backwards. Major thrust on drivers side is inner, pass side is outer. And at .100 I would run a 4" arm in it...
