Hey all,

On my dash there is a light for Oil, question is the only sender I see is located on top of my intake right next to the water temp sender. Now how could an oil pressure/or low oil sender be located on top of the intake? My manual shows a sender wire being purple and this is purple. Check out the picture.

Thanks

I believe both of those are water temp. The oil pressure is usually located at the back of the block behind the intake manifold.

Ok, then why 2 water senders, the original dash only has one gauge for temp, and another light (dummy light) that says oil.

Terry is correct. just to the pass side of the dist should be a sender with a sigle wire. For a light about the size of a large quarter. for a gauge about 1/2 the size of a red bull can

Look under your dash, one of those wires is for an aftermarket gauge, evidently removed.

so basically, this guy before me put 2 temp senders? lol, amazing. I just re configured/modified my whole cluster, so I know what's there. The only gauge he had was a mechanical oil pressure, which i replaced with a electric. And don't start going on about what is better mech vs elec :))

Yep, should be a mechanical water temp gauge as well as a temp light in your cluster by the looks of that 1st picture.
