Has anybody used this cam? I bought it and haven't installed it yet. Let me know what you got.

I like the looks of the VooDoo cams although I have never owned one. The one you have is a pretty big cam (pretty radical) You need to hide it in a 360 or a 408 stroker. toolmanmike

That part number is for a B/RB engine. Share with us your goals and use for the car and motor so we can give you the best answer. I have a VooDoo in my 340, yet to be broke in. My understanding is they're one of the best cams for Mopars (short of going custom) as they take full advantage of Chrysler's big lifter. Hughes Engines is another good source for Mopar spec cams.

whats the specs of the engine ,car ,purpose then we can tell if its a good choice or not.

The car is a 72 Dart (not sure of the weight) It is a street/strip car. This car is still being built.

-3.91 gear ratio
-27 inch tire
-727/shift kit
-Edge 9.5 inch 3200 stall converter
-1978 440 rb, bored .030, decked, .010
-forged crank
-ly rods
-kb #237 hyper ft pistons, complete rotating assembly internally balanced
-440 source Stealth heads, proform adjustable roller rockers 1.5 ratio
-Performer RPM intake
-Speed Demon 750cfm carb, 1 inch carb spacer
-TTI 2 inch long tube hedders, 3 inch exhaust

voodoo cams work good i would check the valve to piston, the high lifts cams may need to use adjustable rockers

I have bought a Voodoo Cam too. Lunati 60402, seems to bee the best cam for good performance without rough idling...

From what I understand they sound more like a "popcorn machine", instead of the lopey sound your use too. Thats what I was told a least. I bought one too :) 60403

However I haven't started it yet :(

yeah they do have a popcorn sound and not the lopy sound people a use to I installed on in a friends Chevy, afterwards i told him it sounds good for a chevy and makes pretty good mid and high rang power, thats a big compliment coming for a big dodge owner i think.

I have the next one smaller in a 360 and it works great. I also put one the same size as yours in a 406 Chevy of a buddies and it ran real good.

I think it's a good choice for your combo as you posted it and it should have a ton of mid-range torque. I haven't run that specific cam but I am running a 60401 in a truck and it hauls ***. No problem whatsoever with the break in either.

I certainly would suggest that you heed Lunati's spring recommendation.

I'm running the .533/.552 cam in my 360 with a best of 11.86..ran the same cam in my 416 ran consistant 11.0's..the voodoo's are very nice cams,i've also ran the .494/.513 cam also..

Thanks for the feed back. I went on youtube.com and I looked up voodoo cams and I get what everyone is saying about the popcorn machine sound. I like it, it's different. To me they sound like a very mild prostock car. I'm also glad that everyone who has had any experience with them has good things to say about them. I do like the fact that I can keep the cam Hydraulic for the street.
