gas guzzling 72 demon...kind of long sorry

Ok I'm hearing plug the line and don't plug the line...

If I were to plug that line and then get a vented gas cap would I be in the same situation I'm in now or are the caps somehow metered? What does a vented cap look like by the way, just want to check and see if I have one or not. Mine is the stock painted body color cap that came with the car.

If I don't plug the line, leblanc says to put back the charcoal cansiter. I suppose that would be the correct way to do things however I'm not a fan of those emission parts in my engine bay.

Surely I'm not the only one who has removed all emission parts, what did everybody else do with that line that originally went to the charcoal canister??

A little update. I just got back from a trip to walmart (approx 1.6 miles each way) and it used a 1/4 tank of gas lol jesus. I did forget to mention that I have the lokar kickdown cable kit and it is properly adjusted as written by the instructions. However I do seem to have the same problem a lot of people have with a late 3rd shift (have to be up around 50-60+ for it to kick into 3rd which doesnt happen much for crusing around). so basically I'm driving in 1 and 2 most of the time which could also attribute to this.

I ordered the bouchillon performance kit yesterday and hopefully it will correct this as it has with others instead of drilling out new holes in the TP lever for the lokar.
