they are the same, with the exception of one having a mopar logo and costing a lot more.

If you're talking factory box/orange box over msd...

MSD is better.

I also join this comment 100%! Though, I thought the OE posters question pertained to the MOpar black MSD box.

They have come around real well over the past few years and offer tons of ignition parts, an excellent company that got lost in the past when the autotronics MSD box came out and became known.
 
the mopar msd black box...and the msd red box 6al is the samething..

i even shippped the mopar box back last year to msd to get it repaired..
