I have been reading about a lot of header problems.....can anyone point me in the right direction for headers.....74 Duster with a 340

Thanks

Dougs or tti are the only ones that fit well. I buy Dougs every time now and I've had both brands.

Most of the issues with either are when you port the heads.

I have a 1974 318 dodge dart sport, i have never run Dougs , just holley flow techs. I dont know if anyone makes a block type of hedder for mopar. I want to warn you that hedders are great on a A body, but they are a pure nightmare to install and they hang low , more on the drivers side. OF course i am giving you this information on what i know with my car. I F i was to to it again i would get a better set like DOUGS, there more money but well worth it.

I just ordered coated TTI's: "everyone" I spoke to said the fit the best for my 69 Dart. Not crazy about the clearance issue and was considering factory exhaust manifolds but worried about cracks and warpage in used ones... I almost went with repops from The Mopar Shop but decided to go with the TTI headers for $100 more.
Ill let you know how it all works out.

My Edelbrocks had port work...not one leak or problem:dontknow:

Depends on the gasket used to open the port. It's the dogleg on the end ports

Some guys have known about that for a long time.

Thanks Burnt, thanks Cracked.

Prefurred gasket? TTI's own?

If you are using tti headers, then the tti gasket should be used or a one that is closer to the actual dimension/size of the port bead on the header.

thanks for the input re: headers...... I think I will save and try a set of TTI's
I will keep you posted
