Hello,
I am a newbee here to this site but have been a Mopar Guy since I was 17. I have owned and sold :pale: a 74 duster, 73 New yorker, 99 neon. I have a new Project now and this one will never be sold it is a 1972 Plymouth Valiant 4 door (Project Gumby).
I know the 4 doors are not the most popular but let give you a little history on the car.

I recently took on a new job on the grave shift and my co worker mention he had this 72 Valiant 4 door, it was his fathers who was the original owner and since has past away. My co-worker already has a ton of projects so he made me a deal. He Gave me the car free and all I had to do was Tow it about 50 miles to my home and give him back the engine. The motor is a stock 318 that needs a rebuild but he wants the motor for sentimental reasons. His friends and family Nick Named the car Gumby do to its color so I told him I will Keep the car Green and keep the Nick Name "Gumby".

So there you have the history why I am honored to bring the life back into this MOPAR.

Welcome, great story behind Gumby. Sounds like he's already a part of the family.

Welcome!
I love the name, back in my racing days I always had a cartoon of Gumby painted on the hood of my car.
Good luck with the project.

Welcome to FABO, great car to work with, keep us posted with pictures of Gumby as you do the rebuild

Alright everyone sorry I have Been MIA lately, ran into a few problems at the DMV to get the Valiant (Gumby) Registered in my name. Though the car was given to me by a co-worker the Pink Slip was missing and the original owner has passed away. Lucky for me my Co workers Mother was also on the title so She signed the release of liability and transfer of title, just in time for me to find out that Chrysler Corp. Financial. was still registered as a lean holder. so now after several weeks I have all the paper work squirt away and now time to pay the fees since it has not been registered since 2004. I'll Be starting this project soon and will continue to update.
