just a taste from Dad's place

Good for your dad. All the whiners that posted previously seem to have forgotten ONE IMPORTANT THING. 99% of that stuff would probably already be a Chinese made toaster if it wasn't for your dads stockpiling. He saved it...PERIOD. I don't need any of it but it was cool to take a look.
As far as selling it...I won't waste my time here anymore since it is a bigger aggravation than it is worth. I recently pulled a set of '71 Demon 4-speed pedals out of a cabinet in my garage where they were taking up space. They were out of a 340 car so they had bearings, and the heavy brake pedal. I offered them for $150. I was told by some rocket scientist that they were worth 100 bucks. Well they might be, but I had bead blasted them. POR silver base coat. Sprayed steel grey. Masked the pedals off and sprayed 60% black. Then I popped on a NOS clutch pedal pad, and a mint brake pedal pad. They were in great shape...bolt them into a show car actually. So lets see...$100 bucks for the pedals. 3 hours shop time @ $50 an hour. Two nice pads, and a spiff on the rest of the switches ect. I should have offered them at $325, but i figured $150 was a good price. I after the commentary I pulled the ad, and threw them into the loft in the barn with the rest of the parts.
Good luck, and thanks again for the peek.
