Because the engine is a bit high strung and the car has sat in the garage for 2 years, only coming out to get washed and waxed.

So I need to de-tune the engine or just find a real nice, clean, slow, reliable driver.

This is the car thats valued at 60 odd k right?

I was wondering whether if you made your mind u about that,
detuning the motor etc...

How long have you owned the car for out of curiousity.

LOL, hell no it isn't worth $60,000 dollars but if you want to give me that for it I will take it.

You may be confusing the miles that are 62,000.

As far as de-tuning the motor… Yes it is what I want to do but doing it is another story. I just don't feel like doing it.

I got the car from a friend of mine about 4 years ago. He got it in 1979 or 1980. I have known this car for almost 30 years.

I got it about 6 months before my join date of Aug 2005.

Ohh...
Yeh i must have!

I rekon you should keep it.

Did you get my pm?
You dont have to reply to it,just wanted to make sure
you got it.

Waggin, you have a cool ride there but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

My guess is my car will continue it sit and be used laundry folding table… It's sad.

How much is the car worth honestly. I may have somethingyou may be interested in

I really don't know.

I have the correct intake, carb, valve covers and distributor for it. I have the original 8-3/4 housing but the car has a dana 60 in it now. The block, heads, transmission are original.

It has been changed to big bolt pattern (mostly do to the old KH calipers sticking after sitting for a year+ at a time)….

I have the original front brake assemblies minus calipers.

What it needs to be back to mostly stock condition is…….

AC compressor and assorted brackets… I have the other stuff.

Thats about it….

That's a really sweet Barracuda you have....... REALLY sweet. =P~

OH CRAP!!
I thought you were KIDDING about trading it yesterday!
I would love to own that little machine and I really do have a 1969 Dodge Dart 4 door that is really nice (still rust free I believe) with all the following original to the car... 318, auto, paint and interior. NO AC. This car has never been touched and is nice but it is a 4 door. I am the 3 owner since new. Original central Mo. car.
Your Barracuda is worth far more than my Dart as you well know. NO BRAINER!!

What would it take to buy it? You can PM me if you want. I don't know if another car is in the cards right now but maybe with a little juggling it could happen. Tax time is coming and I have several late model drivers nearing completion that will sell as soon as the refunds start coming. I am also thinking about selling my 1997 Chevrolet wrecker. I really only use the rollback wrecker.

Im not looking for a daily driver, I have a toyota for that.

What I'm looking for would be along the lines of what i have now but in a more subdued form……. As in a nice easy cruiser.

i would be interested in buying it. please pm me with a price.

My advice. No No No! Don't sell it. Don't trade it. You will regret it. I see your SIG; I love that car. You will regret it. The love will come back. My motto is this:if its not costing you anything then don't get rid of it. If you lived closer I would help you pull the engine and detune it. I'm fifty and hate doing all that stuff. But I have replaced the rear axle, springs, driveshaft, torque converter and added a shift kit. My 318 is out and sold and my 340, that I built in my garage, is ready to go in. It has taken me a year and a half. I am looking forward to the high strungness. But it is and has been tiring for me.
Keep that car. There are so few around. And I hope nobody trades you or buys your car. Its been in and around your life to long. It would be like losing a family member. Take care.

I absolutely agree!! I have been sick forever over letting my 1969 Mustang Mach I go back in the early 80's. I have searched for it since the early 90's and I have never came accross it. I sold it because it was green and I hate green.
