1972 340 auto console, p.s. p.b. this car has original paint, stripes, and vinyl top. I have replaced the fenderwells with n.o.S. pieces and stripped and painted everything under the hood. This car originally had the v-21 code (ladder stripe) up the hood, but the hood had sat outside and got wasted. I replaced the hood and put the 340 callout decal on and trimmed it in the blackout. This car sat in storage since early 80's until I purchased it 3 years ago. i have a collection of parts that go with it. i am selling it minus a motor. i have a date code 727 trans (ready to go) new trans lines, fuel tank, 3/8 sending unit, ( in car),correct pulleys,power steering unit, 72 340 manifolds and bolt kit and intake manifold, poly loc motor mounts,72 340 radiator (needs cored), that's a new wiring harness under hood, front end completely disassembled and rebuilt, k-frame powdercoated and many other pieces.new front bumper(tri-city)new B.F.G. tires on 14x6 and 15x7 all 4" bolt pattern. The interior is all original, i recently installed alot nicer console with new carpet around it (not pictured). interior is complete and nice, just a split in the passenger side seat bottom. This car shows alot better in person, no need to worry about if there is bondo under the paint, that is original paint, quarters, fenders, doors. I am looking to get $10,500 or a trade for something different. Just have put alot of time in this one and lost interest. i have different motors availible, w-2 motor, ran 11.20's, 360 short block(fresh bore), 70 340 short block, 72 340 short block, all these would be extra, and not availble as a seperate purchase.

Like I said in previous ad, I have since upgraded the console with alot nicer one, with good chrome,clean box and new carpet around it. passenger side seat has a tear in bottom panel. all original interior.

Come on up and take a look at it, It shows better in person. I have pix of every side and corner. my email is highwaystar2@ymail.com. It has new ecu box,voltage reg., ballast resister, wiring harness, trans. lines, poly-loc motor mounts, rebuilt brake booster,new front end,new tires,rotors and calipers(kelsey hayes 4 piston) were all taken apart cleaned, prepped, and detailed. i have the detailed exhaust manifolds and intake detailed. A chevy guy could put this back together, come on you want to have some fun, don't you? seriously you will need a driveshaft, and a washer resevoir, and your motor.....I am sure you may run into some bugs, the car has been sitting without the drivetrain for 29 years, did i tell you I already put a new gas tank,and sending unit in the car. powder coated the straps for goodness sakes. $10,500
 
Beautiful car, wish I could, but I have to find a home for the ramcharger first. I think my 402 magnum stroker would slip right in :)

In my opinion.. It's worth dam close to what you are asking and If I lived closer..I would be making you a deal and loading it on a trailer!! Just My Opinion!! Craig..
 
Whats the odo read?
Other than the hood, its all original paint?
Is the underhood paint that far off in color in person, or is it just the light/photography?
any history?
Floors and trunk floor as good as the rest?

all original paint, stripes, and vinyl top. Floors are perfect, I had the seats and carpet out when I did the firewall. original overspray, not even a sign of discoloration from rust. the trunk is good, the paint is just wore and scrubbed off. the spare tire well has rust in bottom, a few holes the size of a nickel and dime. the under hood paint matches very good, it must have been a flash from camera, the only history on car is the man i bought it from, he owned it since 1980 or 1982, did nothing to it other than store it and picked up a few parts for it over the years. the odometer reads 81,*** or 82,***, it's not in front of me but in the ball park.

how bad is the drivers 1/4 at the bottom...trunk extenions, frame rails? any pics and what is the price?
 
I have been looking at all these cars for sale on this site for the last 3 months. i think this car is a real good deal for a 340 car. lots of calls, I need people to look at it , i guess. Still has all the original sheet metal, I think that is huge and the frame rails are good, no problems there. think about that question, If it is not rusty enough to show up in the quarters, the frame rails aren't gonna have been exposed to rust either. I would think anyhow.

first buyer owns it. lol

Looks like there is a dent on the tail light pannel or am i just seeing things. Over all, Nice Car!!! I wish i have $11,000.

You're seeing things. That's the reflection from the bumperettes.

Very nice car here .. wish my EV2 tor-red Duster looked this good in original form!!!
