The Carter AVS and ThermoQuad look fairly similar externally, except that the TQ has a phenolic fuel bowl. But how about internally? Are their principles of operation generally the same? Would anyone be so kind as to tell me the major differences between them?

Does the AVS have provisions for PCV and EGR?

Thanks!

Don't know many of the answers but do know the AVS has the PCV hookup. At least the one I have from 1969 does. I think the AVS was on the way out when EGR came in.

Bill,

Are their principles of operation generally the same?
Yes, heres a couple of random T-Q pictures I have. (Courtesy of DemonSizzle I beileve) I need to re-do my entire picture system. I'm a mess.

The AVS looks like a AFB except the second choke looking plate over the secondaries.
NO, on the EGR.
