Supercharging a 440 Stroker

As tempting as that is I dont have the funds to buy something like that in one shot. Half the reason I'm wanting to do this anyways is so me and my son can work on it together, but I do want it to be done right the first time. I was origionally thinking the 871 kit from blowerdriveservice.com but that will have to be the last thing on the engine (next Tax season). So if I am planning on supercharging this thing, would stroking it be worth it or overkill?
