Annular vs dogleg booster....

Hope someone can help me decide.

I have read about the differences between these two and from what I gather, the annulars enable you to run a carb that would normally not run so well down low, and they better atomize fuel. But they can also restrict flow and atomize too much in heat to rob power. How are the doglegs in the same situation?

I see that most of you guys run 850s on stroked smallblocks with no chokes.
How do they run with just the doglegs? How is the idle quality and how do they drive on the street?

Am I sweating this over nothing?
I'm kind of lost because I havent messed with a carb in like 12 years....

Thoughts?

I am looking at a quickfuel Q series 850, or maybe a mighty demon.
I see the annulars are more expensive, and was wondering if they were worth it.
