The guy who painted it this time has had it for months.When he took it we made an agreement that he would work on it when he had slow times in his shop, as he operates a collision shop and that is where his bread and butter was.After losing $1000. to the first paint shop, he agreed to paint it for the $2000. that i had left for the paint budget.It took a while, but with his great reputation as a good painter i told him i was willing to wait.In the end it was definately worth it.Now i just have to get her back together and get her cleaned up and she'll be good to go.

The tires i have on it are staying for now.They are period correct for the car, and i got the wheels for free,i just sand blasted and painted them.As for the exhaust it is 2-1/2" flowmaster super 40 series.

I have been slowly putting the Dart back together.I have installed the windshield/rear window trim,door handles/locks,headlights, and sat my dual scoops on.It is mid winter here and i have no heat in my garage yet, so i will have to wait until the Canadian weather warms up ( april ),then I will concentrate on finishing the rest. She's gonna be a beaut'.Here is some more pics.

I can't wait to be able to cruz up town.I don't think we will be able to scare too many people as they will hear us coming before thet see us and those who can't hear us will certainly SEE ME COMING ( hope they have their sunglasses ),LOL!!!

I really like the car and all the work you have done butttt, the hood and those scoops do not go very well together in my opinion. Is that a FACTORY color code?? I have never seen that pattern on a 70 Dart. I have seen Black scoops on a yellow car but not the way you have it here.

I got the color scheme two years ago when i was at a local car show.There was a green/black swinger there with the same paint scheme, and after seeing it I decided that I liked it.Sorry to hear you don't agree, do you have any input as to what you think would look better???The car is by no means an original 340 car but I have tried to clone it to look the way I think is cool.
The color is not a factory color,but with all the varities of colors today, why not enjoy them!!!

Sorry I dont mean to take anything away from you at all. You have done a nice job on the car for sure no doubt. I just have never seen that color combination before on the hood! Congratulations on your build and I hope you enjoy the car as much as possible. :cheers:

Well it's been a long road but I can finally start to see the end. I have to get her inspected, then I can get her Registered, and finally be able to drive her. This car has consumed 5 years of my life and countless $$$. I say I can see the end, but I am beginning to realize that there will always be something left to do!!!!! Anyway at least I can say I did it myself. Hope you all enjoy.
