Hello, I am HemiEd, joined this sight over 3 years ago but just don't get around to it very often.

Been a diehard Mopar guy since I was 7, standing in the front seat of Dad's red and white 55 2Dhtp 55 Chrysler.

First car in 1966, 57 Fury, second in 67 a 64 Barracuda 273 4 speed.

Fast forward, I have been ate up with this hobby a very long time now. Rescued many from the salvage yards and farmers fields. The last count was 14 complete "restos" or "restomods" or "frame offs." I actually did do a 2 year frame off on a 57 Fury back in the early 80s.

This is my current, and probably my last project. It is just getting to hard to get down under these things.

Oh, and I sure don't mean to sound like I know it all. I get on here and read and learn as much as possible. I am currently interested in all of the new head technology. Lots of good information on here, thanks!

That's a PROJECT? LOL. Wish my projects needed so much work.

68 Ragtop is about my favorite of the A's. I want it :)

Thanks for the welcome guys and very much for the compliments.

Oh yeah, it has been a project, and like much of my work, I have done it twice. I bought the car off of ebay, without looking at it in person. It came from San Diego and the pictures made it look like a virgin piece. Well, it was more like a demo derby reject, once I got to digging into it.
Here are some pictures from the first time, new frame rail and quarters.(first time for me)

Converted it to a 340, 727 and 8 3/4, new espo springs and new torsion bars.
I was not happy with the rear pan, between the tail lights, as it was almost all bondo. So I finally found a nice one out in Washington state, and welded it on this last winter.

Of course that meant, to me, that I needed to fix everything I was not happy with. So I completely did the car over, better hood, much more time blocking, etc.

Hey Ed, keep posting please. That's a rare beauty you have there, and you've been obviously holding out on us during this resto. :) More pictures man!

Thanks so much, I truly appreciate the compliments. I actually have some more pictures on the way in another post, but since I have so few posts, a mod needs to approve it first. :-D

I love your car. There's a Blue one just like it on Whidbey Island, WA that I drooled over every year at the Greenbank Car Show.

Glad to see you posting after such a long tenure Hemied! Beautiful ride you have there -- you should be very proud of all your obvious hard work. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us.

Welcome once again to the best Mopar site on the net! You're going to be a very valuable commodity around here ... I'd suspect you have lots of knowledge and awesome car **** to share.

Wow seabee, your black 66 is gorgeous as well. I love the stripes, there were lots of them running around back in the day, with those mid stripes, but I don't remember ever seeing a black one with silver stripes.

My Dad loves those first gen Barracudas, and so do I. He is 86, and has had a few of them setting outside for 25 years not being able to get to them.
So I finally brought it up here and spent a winter on it, took it back to him on Fathers day 2007. The look on his face made all the work worth it. I put a 340, late 904 and 8 3/4 under it.

Thanks, I have learned a lot from this site even though I haven't posted much. Putting spitfire headers on my Dad's 65 was one case I know of for sure.

I have a couple picture posts hung up for Mod approval, hopefully they will get released soon. I went ahead and paid for the Gold member, thinking that might do it, but it hasn't yet.

Here is my drag car, from 88-90. Started out as a 340 until I threw a rod through the block, went to a 383.
Consistent 10:60s, with a low of 10:38.
There is also a picture with the 67, that I built for my eldest daughter as her school car.
I had an aluminum /6 in it for a while. Sorry about the picture quality, they are photos of photos since we did not have digital back then.
