chemical burns

Ahhh one of the day to day hazards of working in the oilfield.
I was working today in "the mud pitts" for our drilling department and I have done it before and we have been doing it forever.... clean out the drilling mud from the pits for the rigs so they can move there rig onto another location.
Well some people apparently me... have bad reactions to the chemicals in the mud and this time it was expecially potent in the mix and it burned the hell out of me!!!! F'd me up pretty bad. about an hour earlier my parter slipped in the pit and his "safety" glasses actually cut open his face bad.
Then he got sent to the doctor and then not too long after I went back in and i felt my skin burning and burning on my face, legs, arms, and then it just got worse.
My safety specialist for the company came out and sent me home to shower and use some special soap stuff... I asked but he didnt want to come with.:disgust:

Then I had to show my supervisors and went home to shower immidiatly and it burnned more!!!! I jumped across the bathroom when the water hit the burns... All and all not a good day for me.
Ill get pictuers!!!!!
