Can't wait to see your results Brian. Maybe an article from CC will actually be worth reading for a change. The one in mention sure wasn't (no offense to the OP). One bit of info worth reading is something I've read elsewhere also. That many 318 blocks can be bored out to 4" which makes them usable pieces when building a stroker no matter what some guys think. After all your only talking 6 cubic inches diff. between a 4" bore stroked 318 to a 4.03" bore stroked 360. That's not gonna be much difference in power and considering 318 blocks can be found alot easier and much cheaper they can make an affordable stroker project that makes real good power.

Just a note on machine work prices. My machinist a very knowledgeable Mopar guy and his prices are quite reasonable compared to other parts of the US. I had my block sonic checked, bored and honed with torque plates, square decked, hot tanked twice, align honed, rotating assembly internally balanced (no Mallory metal was needed). All that for $890.
