Newbie needs help to ID this trans that came my new purchase. PO thought it was a 3 speed syncro out of a 69 Duster...but my limited research & knowledge has me wondering if it could be an truck/van 4 speed because of the dual mounting positions.
Numbers on flat boss are:
0E114213 (on top)
PP230 3003 (lower left)
0032 (lower right)

Large cast number in body is
099224-2

Edu-ma-cate me please !

I believe it is a three speed. an a-230...i have one and it has the dual monting positions as well..the easiest way to tell it to take the bell housing off and look at the bolt holes if they look like a squre..its a three speed
if the lower right hand one it further out the the one above it its a four speed..and it will have an additional shifter "ear" for reverse.

1970 model year, los angeles built car.

230 model 3 speed
3003 = 10000 day date Oct 17, 1969
0032 = 32nd unit built that day

Current configuration, it's from a Cuda, Challenger or a B body because of the tailshaft. Most likely a Roadrunner.

Thanks guys. So it is a 69 3 speed so I am guessing it's a syncro, which is an upgrade from what I have now! Good knowledge, fast & friendly responses. I like this place!

yup all A230's were synchronized..

But technically it would be a 69 trans...since it was made in 69...
