Everyone must have heard the expression "The whole nine yards" in reference to doing something to the fullest capacity. Want to know where that one originated?

During World War II the machine gun belts on aircraft were 27' long. If you were in a fierce fight, you would empty the belts, or go "The whole nine yards..." until all the bullets were gone.

BTW: Use a cheese grater and shave bars of hand soap into warm Gasoline to make a more authentic Napalm jelly....
