Alain, welcome to FABO. That is one amazing set-up you've got. I'm starting to love turbos more and more. Nice fabrication work with the headers. You should make copies and start selling them. Keep the pics coming!

Welcome. I love the turbo set up and the 4-link. My 4-link is almost identical to yours except my track bar runs above the rear. Good looking build and I will be watching this.

Alain, welcome to the best Mopar site on the net!!! We don't have a lot of girls on board but there are a few of us.

That is one sweet looking Dart you have! Personally I love the headers and especially that purple block ... very distinctive, and goes great with all the other custom work you've done to it.

Keep us posted on your progress and keep the car **** coming! :-D

Yeah, wanted to do something different than the standard colors.

NICE! I love turbos! :D Is that your oil drainback in the side of the pan?

Yes it is. There's one on each side. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to run hard line from the turbo's to the pan or hose. Hose will be cheaper, but stainless pipe may look better.

Thanx. Have you ever driven or rode along in a car with a turbocharged V8? I fyou haven't then don't! You'll want one! You go for a ride, you're sold. There is nothing like the rush of the boost coming on on a turbocharged V8 in my opinion. I won't build anything else for my cars anymore.

Too much work in the headers to make a nice profit. It took me about 20-24 hours to tack them together and then they still had to be finish welded. Hell of a job, but I'm pleased with the result.

Do the front mounting brackets come through the floor on yours too? Do you have a diagonal link or a panhard bar?

At first I ust had a single diagonal bar running from lower left front to lower right rear, but I figured a piece of pipe can withstand a fair amount of tension when pulling on it (turning right), but when you compress a pipe (turning left), it's easily able to bend out to one side and your a goner then. You wouldn't want that happening at speed. I then decided to strengthen the bar (larger diameter) and also make a diagonal bar in the other direction. I'm not done with it all yet, but it's getting there.

How about braided stainless? it would look better and withstand the heat better.

I made a crossmember that welded under the floor pan and between the frame rails. I am running a single panhard that runs from the top of the housing to the frame rail. Sorry I don't have a close up.

Thanks for the pics Badart. Nice setup.

When I was measuring/designing my 4 link, I considered welding a cross member between the chassis too. I thought the mounting brackets for the horizontal bars would be too low and effect the overall geometry. That's why I decided to cut holes in the floor. I wanted to have the rear tires sit up in the wells and keep a low ride height. Can you post pics of the side view of your car?

Here are a couple. The picture with the brakes is when I was just setting up the rear and doing the mini tubs. I am now running the bottom bar is parallel to the ground and there is only a slight amount of rake to the car. Since I took the side picture of the car I have dropped it about 2". I am not a drag racer so the set up is not that critical to me.

I see you get all the PITA white stuff (also known as snow) up where you're at (in Utah) too. I hope it gets warmer soon so it's more comfortable out in the shed.

Hi Alain - Welkom! Er zijn verschillende andere leden uit Holland waaronder mijn zoon die leven in Hoofddorp. Hope I got that right!

Thanx. Yeah, there's gotta be a couple, I would probably even know them. "Know" most of the Mopar guys in Holland, especially the A-body guys as they are few. Small correction on your sentence:
Er zijn verschillende andere leden uit Holland waaronder mijn zoon, die wonen in Hoofddorp.

What's he's name?

Welcome to FABO, Alain! You're going to have fun here.
Great looking setup in your Dart. I'm also in process of building my "new" '69 Dart. I had a '69 340 Swinger that I bought used in November 1969 and stupidly sold about 15 years ago. Decided I just had to have my Mopar so found another one to build a couple of years ago. Hopefully, it will get finished soon.

Thanks for the correction! I try but grammar is not a strong point with me. His name is Don Hudson. He's lived in Holland since 1987, works at Schiphol but is currently on loan by his company at Helsinki. After I finish a 65 Barracuda I have, he is going to ship it there (it's going to be his inheritance so there will be another A Body over there).

I can't say I know him. Maybe if I was to bump into him at a meet I might recognise him. Nice inheritance. My father has a 1958 Land Rover which I probably will inherit (which I hope won't be for a very longggggggggggggggggg time). I have a sister, but I don't think she'll be driving the thing as it is very primitive and hard work to drive (double clutch on the gear change etc.).
