Turn Signals

Hi,

I decided it was time that I wired up the relays for the headlights. I got a little distracted with the turn signals and have a few questions.

First off, I didn't realize how dirty the lenses were, got some polish and now they look pretty good.

As far as the assemblies themselves go, how was the inside coated? These look like they are painted silver. Also the light fixture itself looks like it was put in with JB weld (previous owner I am sure) and the ground wire is held on with a hose clamp and then runs and grounds to the body. How was the ground originally? I can only get so much from the wiring diagram.

Some day I need to learn how the rest of you can put writing in between photos.
