It almost looks like a Pontiac Cheifton body ,but the grill and hood ornament is wrong, so I would say Buick as a guess

i think its a tin Indian but im only 64yo so how would i know that far back

Yeah, it looks to be a bit of a mish-mash of Pontiac, Buick and almost a little bit of early 50's Caddy grille/turn signals there.....and maybe a chevy hood ornament?

It has a 50 Old's Coupe Look, that is my best description.:bootysha:

Did you know the King came up with the idea of the Pastel Colors the 3 big auto makers started using. He special ordered a Cadillac for his Mom that was Pastel Pink.

Elvis Lives!

Most of these old tin cars were generic, they had styling designs taken form numerous popular cars and compiled them into one. This protected them from having to pay the car manufactures for their name.

Actually, He bought a new 55 Cadillac 4dr sedan (white) for his mother and he had it painted the factory pink. The story I remember was he didn't want to wait for one to be ordered in the color he wanted so he bought one off the line and had them paint it. The pink was a standard color for Caddy's from around 54 till the early 60's. We had a factory pink 56 hardtop and my wife has a 56 conv. (project) that is factory pink.

Yep, it's a gm inbred mess. LOL Only the pontiac had the ribs running like that, but it does also looks like an Olds emblem there. Probably made in China and used varrious views from gm pics to make a toy, why restrict the market share, make one that looks like all of them.? LOL

Okay, sounds good. I read something about Elvis setting the trend of the pastel colors. After he did that everyone was wanting them and the production of the colors increased by big numbers.

Damn I dig your Cuda, that is sweeter than cherry pie!

Guys! Fun conversation, but focus! Dugster- use your search engine to look up pictures of the 1954 Pontiac; this is a surprisingly accurate model for a Japanese tin toy! Cool...

I believe you've got it. Looks to be close to a 1954 Pontiac Star Cheif.

Thanx!
