Have you ever been called obsessed with your mopar?

My wife thinks that I am obsessed with my dart. In the past few months I have either been working on my dart or on fabo while working 6-7 days a week at my job. My wife stays at home raising our kids, so I see her quite a bit, but she has had enough of me working on the car for now. I have decided to take a break now that I can drive it. It is driving me crazy already because there is still so much that needs to be done with body work and finishing installing the interior.

I really don't get it because I do help around the house and do all of the laundry. I don't understand women. I don't hang out with friends or go to bars. Do you guys have the same problem?
 
YES!! I have the same problem with my girl friend...She says I'm obsessed with Mopar and cars. "Cars, cars, cars, all the time, I'm tired of hearing about it." And actually right now we just got into an argument about it...She came up and read this post, and I was gonna post something else, but then it led to an argument, and I forgot. She actually just left right now and took off in her car all mad...."I'm gonna go to the store"...Anyways, yes, I have this problem alot...
 
It's more like molars AND 70's fords for me... I don't really talk to my girlfriend about it
 
Yeah, quite often. Most of my friends aren't car guys, they can't wrap their heads around the time and money I put into my car.
 
My girlfriend said I was Possesed not obsessed....It's my life. I can't help it if all I wear is Mopar shirts....My watch has the "M" in the center....My necklace is the pentastar....All hail the Dodge brothers!
 
Well I don't do anything with mine for the winter.That's when I work around the house and make things for her so she is reasonably happy. When the warmer weather gets here I try to drive my car 5-6 times /week.Yea,I can see she doesn't like it sometimes when I tell her I am going to a show,but I spend enough time with her doing other things. I have some plans that I haven't talked to her about,that should be fun!8)
 
Have lost girlfriends over my car habit/addiction. They just dont understand. I told my current girl that she's not going to see me for about a week because I'm busy trying to finish my Vert. Been spending alot of time with her and now I need MY time for my obsession. :)
 
You guys need to get new girlfriends before they turn into wives. I don't know what I would do if Tammy bitched about my cars or guitars. I would be a really unhappy SOB . :angry7: At least she knows where I am.

You can be ALOT happier. 8)

Let her read that Mopardude..........Lol.

Darts? I don't think about Darts all the time. I think about ABB every day. I don't hardly think about the Darts at all when it's bed time!

Ha HA! I hope she don't have a problem. Our sons Dart just got dropped off. He sold it back to us! That makes a total 16 mopar doors here now! (4-4 door cars!)
Other cars we own other than Darts = none!
Darts we own now = 4!!!

What problem!

haha...i have ditched old GF's because of the "it is the car or me." Statement.,..needless to say, me and my F8 girl are still cruisin.! I have a group of about 10-12 good buddies who we all grew up together, ad are all car guys, and ya..the convo's are rarely about anything but...especially when the pints come out!
 
my wife says i've become addicted. i've bought two a bodies in less than a year and have looked at probably 6 others i turned down. as long as she gets a sidewalk and apron in the spring she doesn't care.
 
So since starting this thread I have spent the last three days inside just hanging out with the family instead of working on the dart. My wife has been on the phone with her sister, on her laptop or watching TV 90% of the time. What the heck? I don't understand women. I think that they just want to have control.

My ol lady finally just gave up when I built my 340 in the bedroom!! I think that's why it runs so good....They are jelous of each other!!!!!!
