so i am trying to make a redline guage pod for my scamp in autocad. they will be made outta abs plastic and i am going to make a few of them. should i put holes for guages in now or if i sell them just let you cut them out? and if so what size of guages and how many and where? i was thinkin a speedo, tach, and 4 smaller holes for other ones. then if i do get them made how many people would want them? and how much would you all pay? they will just be black and probably smooth. here is a pic of kinda how i want it to turn out just with out the guages till you put them in lol

Depending on the price i would be in for one.

Most that i have seen for sale have had 3 3/8 speedo and tach. With four 2 1/4 guages for fuel, amp/volt, oil, and water temp.

I would personally like to have a 5" tach hole if its physically possible. 3 3/8 speedo and then 2 1/4 holes for the rest.

All that i have seen online for the same thing have been around 120. For that kind of money im not down with it. I can carve up the one i have and put a piece of lexan or plexi glass in and cut the holes to make it work for about 10 bucks.

pm if you get something made with these and want to talk.

I'm interested...but I would like to know a little more about the construction of them, shoot me a PM.
Thanks,
Forrest

how about 5 2 1/4 gauges, add one for transmission pressure.

ok i still gotta do it all so i will probably just let you all cut your own holes but maby put some lines in the back so you have an idea where to cut. and i will try to make it as big as possible so you can maby squeeze 5" stuff in lol

tyler s18,

If your using AutoCAD why not come up with several different layouts to offer to people?
I don't think there will be room for the 5" gauge a previous poster wanted.
I've come up with a panel that will fit inside of the facory cluster bezel that will barely accomodate two 3 3/8" gauges (tach/speedo).
See the attached for my plan

I could be very interested depending upon price and quality, with or without holes. Keep us posted!

i will for sure let you all know. i am only going to be able to make like three or four at first and then i will have to take the design to an actual cad machine probably. ours is kinda just set up for prototypes
