What do you guys think about the new Avenger pro stockers?

Mike Edwards is using nitrous.

Those of us who know...... know where he is hiding it...........Its very hidden, yet right there.

Thats how he is 2 or 3 hundredths ahead of the field every race.

And what do you do for a living? I'm guessing you could work at McDonalds but they would fire you for eating the profits. Me? I can't even remember the last time I ate at McDonalds or any other fast food joint! How many of your meals were at a fast food joint this past week? LOL And yes, the snack you got at BK on your way back from McDonalds counts!

NHRA had those cars apart more times than any other Pro Stock cars of that era. If there was any nitrous they would have found it. You can't hide it that good.

...........I may b wrong here, but after there last race the were asked 2 bow out from competion or b suspended.......because there was a flash in the scoop caught on camera........some kind of capsule exploding.............I would like 2 believe they were on the up and up....I think there was an article in National Dragster.....Darrel and Scott[may he rest in peace] r still my hero;s!!!!!!..................kim..........

Actually you are wrong and Mike talks about that in the video, they broke a camshaft, and NHRA went over that car with a fine tooth comb after that incident. There sure was a lot tongues wagging after that though.

I personnaly think the NHRA brass have "engineered" the cars to be too equal. It's almost boring to watch. No wheel stands, no nothing. Yes, GM seems to have a slight advantage but.......... with only the odd starting line boggle or top end incident it's still boring overall.

No one car maker has a distinct advantage over the other. Not like Super Stockers of the 60's and early 70's. Plus, I don't see the driver rivalry today as it was 35-40 years ago.

If the auto makers are pushing for "Brand Awareness" (which I know they are) it's not working and I think the NHRA should be told but out or the class will die off like so many others.

I'd rather see one good S/S race than all of the current pro classes put together. Nitro is cool but you can only take so much of it.

i love prostock but personaly i liek to watch prostock bike even more. id rather see the ss hemi 4 speed cars race than prostock.
 
There was a great story on Wayne county in Super Stock magazine in 95'. The hoodscoop belch is right on the cover.

I might dig it out and scan it / post it. Its a good read

Being a casual viewer of the drags, I'm a little confused about all the Ponchos in Pro Stock. Are they not out of business? Would like to see more MOPARs out there.
