fuel pump

I take it you are talking about a pump like they would use on a injected caravan or neon. They run about 35# pressure or more with a pressure regulator that has a return back to the tank. Not like some regulators that deadd head at the carb. My question is why? Pressure does not equate to volume. Chances are the pump or the regulator wouldn't live as long being choked back down to 6# pressure ...plus an intake pump is hardewr to change if it does go bad.

Also as an after thought ...most fuel injected cars also run a fuel accumulator to take the impulses out of the fuel supply caused by the pump
