Favorite WWII Plane?

My grandfather was in WWII, mostly serving in Holland to the best of my recollection. Sadly, he passed away 25 yrs ago.

He was just awarded a special medal for his work in liberating Holland about two weeks ago. I think it was the 65th anniversary or something. My grandmother accepted it for him.

I always liked the Spitfire, due to my British background, but have grown to like both the Corsair (thank you Blacksheep Squadron) and the P51 Mustang.

Every summer my buddy's dad would take us to the Abbotsford Airshow. Man did those planes ever look cool. The new jets are nice, and put on a good show, but nothing can compare to the old piston engines.

Comox has an Air Force base so we get a lot of planes flying overhead. This is where all the fighters were stationed during the 2010 Olympics. The Base has a great museum. We go by every couple years to see what's new.
