Finally after 3-1/2 yrs. of work I got the Cuda done and on the road thursday. Cleaned it up and me and the wife went to our first cruise-in at the local drive in sat eve. Man it was cool to actually come rumbling in instead of just one of the onlookers. We no more got parked and got the hood up and people were coming over to look. It was the only Cuda there and probably most of them hadn't even seen an older fastback Cuda is my guess. Had a good time talking to the folks there. Only about 30 cars there and maybe 5 were Mopars but still a good time.

 Congratulations fishy, it took me 2 years and I thought that was too long. I can`t imagine 3.5 years, I`d be a wreck by then. I`m glad to see you`ve got it on the road. I`m seeing more and more 60`s cars (of all makes) hitting the streets lately and the local Saturday night car shows are drawing a lot more people. Glad to see another old Mopar running the streets, (especially a B`cuda).

Thanks John. Yeah it did take me a long time to get it done. 3 months after I bought it my Dad got Cancer and I had to take a break and take care of him. So about 10 months went by with it just setting. You know how it goes. Got to take care of family first. Then I lacked the tools to do some jobs. Rounding up help with welding and then painting the engine bay took a while. This was a semi low budget resto too so finding parts I could afford was time consuming.

dude....... we need pics of the whole car!!! lets see it!

Bring 'em on!!!

It's been raining for the past 4 days here so I haven't had a chance to clean it up again and take any. Give me a few days and I'll get some posted. Wish we would have remembered to take the camera to the show. It was clean then. DUH!!!:tard:

Congrats on that first cruise! They are memorable events, especially when the car project has been going on for years. I remember bringing my Duster to the first cruise spot, after a 5 year build. Like you, I was so proud to be driving in with a car that turns heads, instead of being a spectator. I even won a little trophy that night. Good times, indeed!

Congrats! I am having to ride with my buddy in hs Nova to all of our local cruise ins because my Duster jumped timing last week. Ol' plastic cam gear finally died.

Mopars Rule!

Congrats!! I remember that feeling too... took me almost 3 years on my resto too! :)

Jeb... plastic cam gear???? Never heard of one on a slant - my factory one was metal...

Thanks guys. Sorry I didn't get any pix posted. Something let go in the engine.:sad1: Just got it pulled back out today. This sucks. Was hoping I was done for awhile and ready to cruise.

I'm going on 8 yrs. now. Between an illnesses & the passing of a family member, getting hurt & being un-employed for 9 months, getting married, moving, and time just slipping by, I'm more fed up that anxious these days.

I'm envious of your first cruise. I glad you enjoyed it!:thumrigh:

John sure hate to hear all that bad luck but glad to see you back on the board.

Thanks Pal.... hopefully I'll keep everyone entertained/informed of the upcoming trip through the body-shop twilight zone terror ordeal....or maybe not.:shaking2:
