I am located in upstate NY...just off NYS T-way near Rochester.

May consider trade up or down for single engine airplane. No LSA or experimental.

Looks like a nice car. You may want to post more pics. The price is at the very high end for a non "S" car but that doesn't mean it won't sell…. Just means that you will need to wait for the right buyer .

I agree, you should definitely post more pics instead of waiting for requests.Car looks really nice but for that price the pic really doesn't tell you too much.8)

it don't matter what someone post a car for one time or another maybe he needed some quick cash and was going to lose alot and now he don't need myself my prices change depends on attitude, personality. and if i need cash quick or i'am trying to help someone out mike by the way a super nice car

Yeah, lots more pics are good.
all my pictures are high resolution and I have trouble trying to post them.
As far as the price goes... nothing else has been done since the first time. I figure nobody is going to offer me what I ask no matter what. If I listed it for 10,000 somebody would still offer me less so 18-20k...what's the difference? :) probably wrong attitude to have. If somebody really was looking for a very nice 68 we could work something out I'm sure. I have over $24,000 into it but I know eveyone out there that has restored a car is upside down in this market. I don't need the money, I need the space. I've got way to many cars! I put less than 200 miles in this in the last 2 years. I hate to see it sit. I had it sold back to the original owner for $20,000 this summer and then he couldn't get the bank to loan him the money. I really want him to have it so I offered it back to him at 18,000 and still couldn't make it work.

Use a photo hosting site like Photobucket. Then you can simply copy and paste the image links. This is how we all get around the resolution issue.

And remember…. In any economy, what you have into the car does not matter.

A car is simply worth what it is worth…….

Super nice car! As far as the pics go, I had the same issues. Depending on what your op system on yer puter is...mine is xp-pro. I went to the microsoft site and there is a free download that allows you to "resize" pics. Once you have it downloaded, you can right click on pics and click "resize". It doesnt resize physically, it reduces the resolution. If you want email me pics at cuda169[at]hotmail[dot]com and I will resize for you. Email me anyway, always love lookin at nice fish!
Good luck with the sale!

Hey Fresh, nice car. Good luck with the sale. I dont think you have a bad attitude about this sale at all. With over 10% of the nation out of work and certain areas even higher and paycuts, freezes in o/t etc. people are gonna try to get much more for less. Heck, it happens when things are good too. Just the nature of the beast I guess. The car certainly looks to be worth the money by the pic. More of them pics would help like showing the interior, underside, engine and trunk compartment etc. Just stick to your asking price, you will find a butt to fill that drivers seat. Good Luck!!
Chas.

OK guys....spring is comming and I am going to give this one more try. FOR SALE! If I don't get it sold I am thinking of taking it to Florida. I bought a vacation home down there this past fall and it would be nice to have second car there, although triple black without AC could be hot! I'd rather take my Coronet RT vert but I don't know if the garage is big enough for that monster! Anyways, I've only put 200 miles on it in the last 2 years so I need to either sell it or drive it. I am serious when I say this barracuda is the sweetest running car I own. The guy that rebuilt the motor and tranny was a magician. (figurativly, not litterally) It is a super nice streetable car. starts right up, idles nice, pulls like a mother, revs to 5800 rpm and shifts perfectly. The suregrip setup gives you just the right amount of slip and grab so the tires are barking but she's pullin' straight and pullin' hard. It's just a fun car to drive.

Nice car. If you dont need the money, keep it.

I've had to sell a few cars, and I can tell you from experience, that it doesnt matter how much you have in the car, what it books for, or what you feel it is worth. The more you ask for a car, with respect to its market value, the fewer potential buyers you will have. Ask $20k for a 68 GSS Hemi Dart, lots of buyers. Ask $20k for a 68 Barracuda, significantly less buyers.

Even in a good economy, trying to get out of a restored vehicle what you have in it, is almost impossible. Asking top dollar for one, is doable, but it better be perfect, and highly documented. Make sure you can show where it was bought, every time it was was serviced, who all of the previous owners were, what they ate for breakfast each day, how many potholes the car has hit in its lifetime, how many bugs have hit the windshield, etc - LOL.

You will finally sell it at a price that someone feels is a good deal.

Sometimes the two are pretty far apart, depending on how much you need the cash, and how long you are willing to wait. You should look at comparable vehicles and see what they actually sold for, not what their asking price is.

You are right about people offering you less no matter how much you are asking. If you are selling for $20k, they will offer $18k. If you were selling the same car for $5k, some idiot would still offer you $3k.

Take it over to Tampa and have Classic Air install their system on the car and you have the look of factory inside and COOL AC too

Then drive the wheels off it

Great advice WildCat... It won't hurt the value either... You could be out Chillin while your Thrillin... onecatnodog:glasses5:

Excellent overview of the reality of the sales process.
