65 dart - stock wheelwells - offset shackles - can I fit an 8.5" rim?

-
Sorry to say,but I don,t think the 8.5 will fit. Here,s a pic of a 15x7 rim with a 255/60/15 TA on my 66 Dart. You might be able to squeeze a 8 inch in there, but she might rub.Did you move your spring pad over too?(3/4 inch) trim 063.jpg

I,ve done a spring relo,minitub since that pic was taken.Here,s a after shotcar pics 66 Dart 102.jpg

thanks for the pictures. they are exactly what i needed to see.

i havent done anything yet...
but minitub is out of the question

which is alright because i can probably trade my 8.5's for 7's

after your pictures i dont even want to try a heartbreaking mockup. would be a waste of time to even inflate tires on those rims.

you were shockingly helpful...

Your very much welcome!:-DI just like to help and repay some of the help I,ve recieved from this great site!

i put 15x7 centerlines on my 65 dart with a dana 60 rear that i cut down to fit. the wheels are 15x7 with 3 3/8 backspacing. i had the rearend out of a truck with 4.10`s. i went through enough 8 3/4 stuff in my roadrunner. the dana looks cool with the chrome cover from the back and the aluminum coilover shocks. I run a 7" wide wheel - with a 255 wide tire and your not getting an 8.5 in there ( 66 cuda )
