my saga is over! She arrived late this afternoon.
US customs was kind enough to let her move out of the country! I have to say the 6 month wait was well worth it. My criteria for a 68' was all about a clean body! She's a tad oxidized, but will clean up with some effort. The brightwork for most part is in excellent shape, but dirty. overall she shows signs of sitting out in the California sunshine taking on the rays with bliss for far too long a time. She needs a really good bath to start being herself again. The inside is in pretty good shape with the sun taking some toll again. She shows 25 and change on the odometer, do you think its real? car has not moved much in the past 20 years. Sat in a garage till a few years ago, rarely taken out. I haven't had a chance to go over her yet, but in time. a few quick pics for your perusing. Now the biggie? What do I do with her? I kinda really didn't need another, but the hunt always gets the better of me! Anyone have some ideas?

It wasn't customs taking their time. Its all about the title! Its a long story and I will try and keep it to a short story.
She was owned by a elderly (not well) gentleman, who had his son (great guy) put the car up for sale. both father and son are the same name! We agree on a price, site unseen, and I hire someone to go look at it. There is a few problems with the car and we reworked the price, done deal! I need a copy of the title and the bill of sale to book transport for the car. OMG, dad can't find it! ok, no problem get a new one. so what, it winter here anyway.
clocks a tickin and i get a email with a copy of registration, no title. back to the DMV again. they move like molasses there, and create more issues as time goes on. anyway the car ends up in my name at his address in Cali.
i say woohoo, sunshine here I am! well not really, but at his point (this is about 3 weeks ago now) I get on the phone with transport and they say oh-oh, so I then get on the phone with US customs and they say shouldn't be a problem. So we book transport and badaboom-badabing, clockwork she's here! The sellers were actually very nice. there was many trips to the dmv on their time. At quick look over, the car passed by bondo magnet with flying colors. I couldn't be happier with a starting point for, what? I don't know. I have to resize todays photos to post shortly.

wow!! Thats beautiful. Definitely worth shipping it 3,000 miles!

As I said before,I,m jealous! If you don,t know what to do with it?I do!I have my 66 Dart from Alabama.I would sell my 73 Dart Sport 340,4 speed to get ahold of a 68 Cuda in that shape.Very nice find, keep us posted with what you,re gonna do.8)

I've got the bottom trunk piece, and it's it really good shape, the only thing with it is the Barracuda script is mounted on the trim.

That's a sweet looking car!

Im with pettyblue, I am soooo jealous....great to see something so clean make its way up north. As far as plans go, if it was me...spit-shine and send the trunk trim to waggs!! Enjoy you lucky sob!! jk, but seriously enjoy!

Looks great! I hope to see it at Mopar Fest this year!! I had a 69 Cuda 340 in 1988 I picked up in North Carolina. It was easy to trailer across the border back then. I sold it to get married to my first wife! DAM!!

SWEEEEET `68 ! Looks like a real nice start for a project car!

Good luck with your plans for it.

That Barracuda looks like it was stored very well

There aught to be a law against shipping classic Air conditioned cars to Canada. ;)

Nice catch by the way.
