Thought I'd say hello, as I'm new around here. I've been doing a lot of research for my latest project, a 71 Demon I'm doing for a good friend of mine.

We're going from the slant 6 to a 318 we're planning to build along the lines of this article...not after maximum horsepower as much as a fun cruiser, so if we get 300 we'll be happy.

I've collected a lot of parts already, but I'm still on the hunt for a few. We're doing the big brakes outlined in this article, but I still need the R-body caliper brackets.

According to this, I think we'll be fine with an 8.25" rearend, and I think the extra 2 inches will help with wheel selection, so I'm looking for a B body rear. This also gets us up to the LBP on both ends, which is good.

I picked up a Dakota bellhousing and clutch setup this weekend, and I'm looking for an R154. I haven't been able to determine what that's going to do to the driveshaft length, but we'll measure it both ways and find out if and when we get there.

I also need a power steering setup (box, pump, bracket, and lines) and a power brake booster.

I'm personally a Ford guy (the Demon is next to my 67 Mustang Convertible out in the shop) but I'm excited to dive into the Mopar world. I may not have much to add, but I will be sharing pictures (and part numbers) as I go.

If anyone has any leads on any of these parts, especially in the Nashville TN area, please let me know. I'm also open to suggestions, of course!

Thanks!

hmmmm maybe working on the Demon will slightly sway you away from the Furds.... lol... Welcome aboard !!!!!
