DRENO, you've got be a leader with a dog, that's all there really is to it. A person can't just get one and feed it, you've got to train by positive reinforcement and negative aversion plus socialization. It's a lot of work vs. having a cat but you'll end up with a best friend for life and a good canine citizen. :read2: :cheers:
Just this morning (6 am dog walk) there were a bunch of senior citizens going on their morning walk. They were facinated by Merlin and wanted to meet him, so they all got to pet him and they all loved it! Merlin included, lol. Merlin and I just made some new friends. Can't do that with a cat. :-D
