A-Body Dodges from Brazil !!!
Hi friends !!!
I'm sending you some pics of our Brazilian Darts & Chargers, they were locally built by Chrysler of Brazil from 1969 till 1981.
The Dodge Dart was first produced in the four-door model, with the 318 V8 as the base engine, and a 3-speed column shifting manual transmission. Here are some official images of this first generation Darts:
An interesting thing to pay attention, our first gen Dats used the same dash from the 69's Plymouth Barracudas !!! Have a look:
By the ending of 1970, the two-door hardtop model was attached to the line, with the same powertrain and options, here's some pics of these cars:
In the factory, with all of board staff, the launch od the Dart Coupé, 1970:
These cars remained quite the same in options and style until 1972, in the introduction of the 1973 year model some items were changed, but that's a talk for the next chapter...
