Favorite road kill ?

If you ship a cow to slaughter now and it dies or goes down on the truck the shipper is fined. Judging from that I assume that they do not butcher it. But it wasn't always like that.

All the meat they serve in restaurants or you buy in the grocery store is dead animal. I never had roadkill, but I've eaten deer, turkey and various birds. That is turkey and pigeon. I can eat it but prefer meat that isn't gamey. As for roadkill. Yeah, why not? If you find it fresh and just take the undamaged meat, it should be good eatin.

No skunks? you woose, that`s what clothspins er fer. Just 5 minutes in the nuker, out in back yard preferably:violent2: And all the warbles, ya jes pullem out and deepfry, makes good crunchy,dandilion salad croutons:-D

Here in Alaska ive had plenty of grouse and ptarmigan roadkill. Ive bounced a few of my own grille and picked up others hit by other cars...good eatin...

had a mighty fine road kill deer once, saw the car hit it, pulled over and asked if they were ok and then loaded the deer in the back of he truck. mmmmm good!
 
Thanks for the reminder. I've spent several years in the great state of Alaska working for the railroad back when it was owned by the feds. You know where the moose go when the snow gets deep. Yep..right out on the tracks and no the train dont stop for em. Had my share of "Track Kill" also. That moose is some mighty fine eatin.

Yeah ive been on a few moose cleanups on the roads and highways. You never know what your gonna end up with and how messy its gonna be. But definetly had some good tenderized moose.

I just make the attempt to correct false information. I am a dairy farmer and it seems that we don't have people going around telling everyone how great of a job we are doing, they just try to exploit mistakes.

I love road kill small block... Man your killing me, these black beans everyday with some kind of meat (worse than any road kill ive ever seen) is killing me... Talked to the wife the other day guess what she was eatin... Man I would love me some road kill right now... Me and a buddy hit a shoat pig in the road a while back best pork ever:D ROADKILLL
