Automotive repair no-no's

Put the drain plug back in the oil pan, before adding clean oil.
When you Put the oil filter on, make sure the old filters gasket is already off.

Be sure the gas line is hooked to the carb, and Not leaking,
before you try to break in a new Engine/cam. :angry4:

Righty tighty, lefty loosey, BUT, some Mopars have left hand lugs,
and its possible to put the drums on the "wrong side". Oops.

Please use jack stands.

The hotter the engine oil, when changing it, the more likely some will get on you.

If your car has an odd miss/occasional backfire;
Get the Chiltons book out, and be SURE, the plug wires are on correctly,
Before you pull the heads off, to have a valve job done. Doh! :wack:

If its not an emergency, and your tired, pack up the tools,
it is when your most likely to get hurt or break something.
